I could not, for the life of me, get Picasa Album to work for me for the longest time. My pictures have been uploaded to Flikr for Ravelry but I couldn't figure out how to get those images to upload to this blog. So I figured I'll just upload them to Picasa to import them onto here but my phone was being retarded and wouldn't let me do it. This was a few weeks ago. This morning I suddenly thought about my almost non-existent blog and got inspired to try again as I was sitting here knitting 3 different projects at once. I was also wishing I had 6 arms to knit the projects simultaneously. Wouldn't that be great if we were able to do that.
But here are my current projects:
#1 and the latest product of my startitis, Veera's Turmeric pullover. I've had this in my queue forever and bought the yarn for it probably over a year ago and last night decided to cast on.
I love the color Betty Blues for this Tosh Sock yarn. Love how it feels to knit with so far too.
#2 project that I'm also working on are the Sweetheart Socks from Knitty. Love love the how the hearts show up as I'm knitting. I don't know why I have not been knitting socks for me. I have just been knitting the Turkish bed socks for the boys and didn't think I would ever wear socks since I mostly wear Uggs in the wintertime and my Toms in the summertime. But then Lena said, you can wear your socks around the house. Genius! But then in the back of my mind, I was also thinking...hmm...I think I need to shop for shoes that can show off my socks. But lets wait until I finish one pair before buying the shoes to show them off.
Look how beautiful the hearts look. I'm doing this out of the Opposites Attract yarn by Barking Dog Yarns and the coordinating color is the green that you see on the stripes here. The colorway is Arthur & Guinevere.
#3 project that I'm trying to finish is my gift for my bff, Sophia Rabbit
This is my third animal that I've knitted. Sophia Rabbit is almost done, just missing her cute little red beret. However, I'm running out of yarn and I am not happy with that at all. I hate the thought of having to get a whole skein just for half of a little beret. But it has to be done because I cannot go on until her beret is done. My very first rabbit was Oscar Rabbit which was a gift for my friend's new baby. My second was Candy Bear which also was a gift for a little girl in AZ
Are these guys not the cutest thing you've ever seen. I'm sad that they are no longer with me. After all these gifts are knitted, I will knit a pair to sit in our craft room. Lena is holding me up to that promise. She's very mad at me that I keep promising people these gifts. She's worried that I will get sick of knitting these and we would never get our rabbits. I am worried about that too since I had very little motivation while knitting Sophia. It wasn't like Oscar where we were awaiting every limb, every piece of clothing to see what it looks like. It's similar to waiting for your first kid to be born. And now with Sophia, it's like my third kid, ok I know what you look like, there's no surprise. I have 2 more rabbits to do for my bff after this since she has 3 kids and want 3 rabbits to sit on her bed. I am very happy to be able to knit them for her and that she loves my projects very much but if I don't supplement with other projects, I think I would quit knitting altogether (I don't think that would ever happen though).
